DAY 19

Well, officially this is Day 19 of the construction process. But any of you who have spent much time around me in the last few years know it's really more like Day 1019. Building this house has been a dream (sometimes, nightmare) I have agonized over for close to five years. And the last two years have been intense. I now own enough house plan books and decorating magazines and books on constructing your own home to start a library. Just ask any of my friends: I have poured over books, torn pages out of magazines, spent hours in Lowes and in general driven everyone around me crazy.
Well the process has actually started now and I'm sure everyone is eternally grateful. Although, I have heard rumors that friends and family are setting up some kind of schedule. They call it "Lane Duty". It seems they think I need to be under some kind of 24 hour watch to prevent what I like to call my "melt-downs". (Thanks Reed and Ashley)
Anyway, after this weekend I hope to have picture posted of progress to date and give you a run down of how these first 19 days have been.
If you check out the blog, please leave a comment. I would really like to hear from you.
